We are looking to hire fun, knowledgeable coaches for our 2025 Summer League season.

Job description: The primary goal of our swim team is to offer a fun and competitive summer swim program for the kids in Trailwood and neighboring communities. The coaches' key objectives are to aid swimmers in learning/improving strokes, setting and achieving goals, practicing good sportsmanship and developing confidence through swimming.

Responsibilities:

• Participate actively throughout swim season while maintaining a safe and positive teaching environment.
• Obtain the necessary safety and sport related certifications as required.
• Encourage team spirit and have a willingness to do what it takes to have successful swim season.
• Plan workouts (including technique and stroke development).
• Prepare facilities and organize swimmers for practices and meets.
• Prepare meet entries and relays.
• Participate throughout the entire swim meet, including meet set-up, warmups, cheering for and encouraging swimmers, providing tips and feedback to swimmers, and takedown.
• Plan activities and attend pep rallies and other team social activities.
• Continue the Gator tradition of pep rallies, cheers, poster contests, Gators of the week, and social activities.
• Interact and communicate with parents and swimmers.

Qualifications:

• Must be a high school graduate or graduating during the active swim season.
• Must have swimming experience.
• Must have good communication skills and a positive attitude.
• Background check required.
• Prior coaching/mentoring experience and experience working with children preferred.
