Important Meet Information

May 12th

Below is a lot of information you will need for tomorrow's away meet against the Sand Creek Sea Lions. Please read all the way to the bottom as we want everyone to have an awesome meet tomorrow!

Start Time

Swimmers must circle in by 7:30 a.m. Swimmers not circled in by 7:30 a.m. May be cut from relays.
The National Anthem will be at 8 a.m.
The meet begins at 8:30 a.m.

Parking/Traffic

The Sand Creek Village Community Pool is at 3021 Timber Shade Drive.
A police officer will be on duty to assist with parking and traffic.
Parking is very limited, but two parking spots will. E reserved for our team and equipment truck (when facing the pool, the spots on the far left).
Parents can drop off swimmers at the pool on Timber Shade, but we need to park at Deerwood Elementary School, which is at 2920 Forest Garden Drive.
Signs will be set up between the pool and Deerwood Elementary with parking directions.
From Deerwood Elementary, the Sand Creek pool is just a short walk on the greenbelt trails. See the attached map.
Please obey the no parking signs and where the signs do end, please do not park on both sides of the street.

Setup

When facing the entrance to the pool from Timber Shade please set up in the area to the left of the sidewalk that leads to the entrance. The area is shaded.
Tents should not be set up before 5:45 AM Saturday.
Our swimmers will primarily use the front gate to enter the pool and go to the ready bench. See attached pool layout.

Volunteers

Volunteers need to sign in at Stephanie Cash's tent Saturday morning before the meet begins.
Our NWAL officials should be dressed and prepared in case they are needed.
They will announce the officials meeting and timers and scribes meeting between 7:30 and 8:05.

Safety

Sand Creek Village is constructing a community pool house and the landscaping around the building was recently installed. Much of this will be blocked off, but kids should have access to all of the play equipment. Parents please help keep kids out of the areas that are blocked off.
There is an automatic emergency phone outside the building and a phone just inside the gate if we need to call for emergency responders. The lifeguards will have first responsibility for first aid. Tgey also have a first aid kit in the Sea Lions storage area. There is an AED on site inside the lifeguard's closet.

Concessions

A concession stand will be available with full breakfast and lunch menus, along with snow cones, chicken & sausage jambalaya, and other snacks and drinks.
